About The Position

The Technical Support Representative is the primary technical resource for internal & external customers. They draw on their deep RotoMetrics product knowledge to recommend customer solutions related to precision rotary die-cutting.

Requirements

  • Eagerness to become a technical expert on RotoMetrics products
  • 5 years in rotary cutting or converting industry
  • High school diploma, GED, or Technical Diploma
  • Medium-level knowledge of RotoMetrics product portfolio
  • Excellent organization & communication (verbal & written) skills
  • Ability to read & understand internal & external drawings
  • Ability to work sitting, standing, &/or walking 8-10hrs/day
  • Ability to lift up to 50lbs
  • Ability to wear personal protective equipment-safety shoes, safety glasses, hearing protection, etc.
  • Ability to work in typical manufacturing environment—noise, dust, odors
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%

Responsibilities

  • Provide clear, concise solutions-& alternatives-to internal & external questions, to meet customer needs
  • Perform material evaluation of customer stock to determine blade clearance & product recommendations to sales team, based on customer application & ROI
  • Perform onsite product audits to identify product conformity, make actionable recommendations, & support customer processes
  • Perform onsite product installations
  • Troubleshoot customer problems, remotely & onsite
  • Vet the feasibility of customer applications & assist team in make/no-make decisions
  • Supply training to internal & external customers on RotoMetrics products & processes
  • Proactively grow personal & departmental knowledge
  • Other duties as assigned to meet departmental & company objectives
