About The Position

This Hourly Leadership position will assist with CAD/CAM duties to support NC Machines throughout the GE Bangor Vernova facility. NC inputs (e.g. APT, Macro B, PC Mill, & others as required) Create new simulation sessions & check programs (e.g. Vericut) Create programs with CAM software (e.g. Mastercam, Espree, Turbosoft, etc.) Fix programs (break/fix) independently when issues occur in the shop Assist in process team meetings Assist in quality form creation & improvement Assist in work instruction creation & updates Drive process improvements Run machines as assigned (if trained/qualified) Communicate effectively and work well with others Maintain accurate written and computer records Read and understand engineering drawings and specifications Perform other duties as assigned

Requirements

2-year post-secondary degree in Machine Tool Technology, or Accredited post-secondary certificate in CNC Machining and 1 year of CNC machining experience, or High School Diploma with a minimum of 2 years of CNC machining experience
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 25 lbs and wear PPE (safety glasses, gloves, hearing protection, etc.) with or without reasonable accommodation.
Flexibility: Willingness to work B shift (Monday - Thursday; 3:30PM - 2:00AM)
Must be able to successfully complete assessment(s) and interview.
Obey all safety rules including wearing personal protective equipment such as safety toe shoes, safety glasses, and hearing protection in designated areas.
Comply with all practices and procedures including the GE Bangor Vernova Handbook, the Code of Mutual Respect, and the GE Vernova Spirit & Letter.
Qualify for and utilize specialized personal protective equipment (e.g. respirator), as required for the position.
Perform a diverse range of tasks and responsibilities by effectively utilizing cross-training and multi-skilling.
Foster a safety culture by engaging in and supporting Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) audits, training sessions, related activities, and compliance with Life-Saving Rules (LSR).
