About The Position

The Technical Support Field Specialist at Workforce Solutions Borderplex Inc. is responsible for providing consultative services and technical assistance to child care providers and other stakeholders. This role involves planning, developing, and implementing agency programs while ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations. The position requires effective communication and problem-solving skills to support local businesses and enhance their technical capabilities. This is a grant-funded position expected to last until September 2025.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in humanities, business administration, public administration, education, or equivalent experience.
  • Two or more years of experience in a public-facing role preferred.
  • Clear and effective communication skills.
  • Strong customer service skills with an empathetic approach.
  • Ability to research and understand local, state, and federal laws related to the project area.
  • Advanced skills in using HP and DELL computers, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Microsoft products.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in program management and delivery of training sessions.
  • Knowledge of child care regulations and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Perform technical training, research, planning, policy, program assessment, and administrative activities related to project assignments.
  • Provide support in the planning, development, implementation, analysis, and documentation of agency programs.
  • Serve as a liaison to staff, government agencies, community organizations, or the general public to explain program specifics and requirements.
  • Market programs to community and professional groups to encourage interest in projects.
  • Monitor and review compliance with requirements, laws, regulations, policies, and procedures for assigned projects.
  • Assist in providing consultative services and technical assistance for agency projects.
  • Prepare administrative reports, studies, and specialized projects.
  • Assist with the review of program area operations to identify areas in need of change and develop improvement plans.
  • Create engaging training materials and host customized learning workshops.
  • Expand the child care provider base through collaboration and maximize project impact.
  • Manage project tasks, including timeline creation and stakeholder coordination.
  • Share success stories from businesses completing the Borderplex Business Support Project.

Benefits

  • Competitive salary range of $43,000 - $47,000 per year.
  • Full-time, grant-funded position until September 2025.
