Position Overview The Helpdesk Network Administrator will lead day-to-day IT support operations across multiple True North campuses, maintain the health of our network, and provide responsive service to faculty and staff. This role requires hands-on technical expertise in Google Workspace administration, network support, and device management, combined with strong customer service skills to support a mission-driven school environment.

Requirements

  • 5–8 years of IT support with at least 3 years in a helpdesk/network administrator role.
  • Google Workspace Admin Console (user provisioning, groups, security settings).
  • Chromebook and MacBook management.
  • Networking (DNS, DHCP, VPN, firewalls, wireless APs).
  • Device management (MDM solutions such as Mosyle, Jamf, or equivalent).
  • Knowledge of Windows 10/11 and Mac OS environments.
  • Basic scripting or automation (Bash, PowerShell, or Python preferred).
  • Excellent troubleshooting and documentation skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service mindset.
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field (or equivalent experience).

Nice To Haves

  • Google Workspace Administrator Certification strongly preferred.
  • Additional certifications (CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and respond to daily helpdesk tickets, providing Tier 1/2/3 support for staff across multiple campuses.
  • Administer and support Google Workspace for Education (user accounts, groups, email, Drive, Classroom).
  • Configure and manage Chromebooks and Windows devices using Google Admin Console and endpoint management tools.
  • Administer school systems such as paging, cameras, and gate access.
  • Support operations in technology aspects of the state testing process.
  • Administer network services (DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP, VPN, wireless infrastructure) to ensure reliable connectivity.
  • Implement and monitor security policies, ensuring compliance with FERPA and other school technology standards.
  • Support and troubleshoot Google Meet, Zoom, and classroom AV technologies.
  • Maintain IT documentation, SOPs, and provide end-user training as needed.
  • Collaborate with leadership on IT projects, including system rollouts, device refreshes, and cloud integrations.
