Technical Support Engineer
About The Position
The Technical Support Engineer provides technical engineering support to various departments within HCFA, predominantly to the Sales Department. This position will require daily communication with HCFA Sales Teams and Dealer salesmen, along with the HC Factory in China which may require regular evening communication due to time differences. Some domestic travel (<10%) may be required to visit dealers and customer applications. The Forklift Technical Support Engineer will use their engineering experience to guide the Sales Team on product specifications and capabilities. This position is intended to evolve into a Subject Matter Expert with growth opportunities in Product Management. General Accountabilities · Daily communication with internal and external customers. · Research technical documents · Review technical specifications · Competitive studies · Interpret engineering drawings · Regulatory compliance research · Residual capacity calculations for data plates · Project management opportunities · Available for after-hour calls with the factory engineers as needed. · Duties assigned in addition as is required.
Requirements
- Technical degree in related field, or related experience.
- 3-5 years of engineering experience designing mobile equipment
- Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal
- Must have a positive demeanor and represent HCFA in a professional manner.
- Able to achieve Forklift certification and able to maintain.
- This position is full-time in Rock Hill, SC

- Strong technical aptitude
- Comprehension of mobile equipment components and operation
- Comprehension of engineering drawings and schematics, including electrical and hydraulic
- Comfortable using algebraic formulas
