The Technical Supervisor for the Dry Food Production Plant is a pivotal role responsible for overseeing the operational efficiency and technological advancements within the facility. This position requires a comprehensive understanding of all equipment, integrated control systems, and the ability to diagnose, repair, or replace components as necessary. The supervisor will lead efforts in developing new processes by researching current and emerging technologies, evaluating process costs, and conducting optimization studies through designed experiments. This hands-on role involves working closely with the maintenance team to troubleshoot and resolve issues, ensuring that production lines operate smoothly and efficiently. In addition to technical oversight, the supervisor will manage relationships with strategic partners, equipment vendors, and technology partners. Collaboration with the engineering department is essential for designing, constructing, and implementing process equipment and upgrades that enhance functionality, safety, and product yield. The supervisor will also be responsible for developing capacity models for production lines, ensuring that capital purchases align with projected capacity needs. This role includes identifying necessary capital equipment and facility improvements, as well as researching and negotiating equipment purchases. The Technical Supervisor will also play a key role in developing work instructions, training materials, and performance measures for new or improved processes, ensuring a smooth transition to operations. Monitoring the performance of facility power distribution systems and recommending upgrades will be part of the responsibilities. Compliance with state and federal regulations is critical, and the supervisor will need to interpret these regulations to ensure the company meets all required standards. Promoting a culture of continuous improvement and supporting safety and food safety programs are also essential aspects of this role, along with other duties as assigned.
