About The Position

We are looking for construction industry professionals with deep preconstruction expertise who are passionate about driving digital transformation across estimating, bidding, and cost planning workflows. Coming from the Construction industry, you will leverage your experience in preconstruction processes—including takeoff, estimating, bid management, prequalification, and cost control—to help customers solve real-world challenges and unlock value through the Forma Industry Cloud (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud / ACC). Reporting to the Senior Manager of Customer Success, you will lead technical engagements with some of Autodesk’s largest and most strategic AECO customers in North America. You will partner closely with Customer Success Managers to deliver both standardized and bespoke engagements aligned to Customer Success Plans. As a trusted technical advisor, you will guide customers in modernizing preconstruction workflows, connecting design and field data, and improving cost predictability, bid accuracy, and collaboration across stakeholders. This role is remote with up to 20% travel required.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in the construction industry, with a strong emphasis on preconstruction
  • Hands-on experience with estimating, quantity takeoff, bid management, or cost planning workflows
  • Familiarity with common preconstruction tools and processes
  • Understanding of how preconstruction workflows connect to project execution
  • Experience supporting or leading technology adoption or process transformation within preconstruction teams
  • Ability to translate preconstruction challenges into technical solutions and workflows

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with model-based estimating or 5D workflows is strongly preferred
  • Background working for a GC, specialty contractor, or estimating consultancy is preferred
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud products (BuildingConnected, TradeTapp, Takeoff, Estimate) is preferred
  • Familiarity with BIM/VDC coordination and its impact on preconstruction is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a deep, working knowledge of preconstruction workflows, including quantity takeoff (2D & 3D), estimating and cost planning, bid management and subcontractor solicitation, scope alignment and leveling, prequalification and bid risk, and design-to-estimate workflows
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in how the Forma Industry Cloud (formerly Autodesk Construction Cloud) supports the end-to-end preconstruction lifecycle, including model-based and document-based takeoff, estimating, bidding, bid leveling, and subcontractor coordination
  • Discover and analyze customer preconstruction processes, tools, and pain points, including fragmented estimating workflows, manual takeoffs, and lack of qualifications, backlog, and cost visibility
  • Design and implement scalable preconstruction workflows that improve estimate accuracy and speed, bid coverage and subcontractor engagement, and cross-functional collaboration
  • Lead technical engagements such as workflow design sessions, tailored product demonstrations, implementation of takeoff and cost solutions, and development of dashboards for cost tracking and forecasting
  • Build dashboards and reporting that provide visibility into estimate vs. actual performance, bid participation, and cost trends
  • Partner with Customer Success Managers to execute against Customer Success Plans by aligning preconstruction initiatives to Autodesk capabilities and measurable business outcomes
  • Support customers in connecting preconstruction to downstream construction workflows
  • Provide best practices on digital transformation of preconstruction, including change management strategies for estimators and precon teams
