About The Position

Franklin International, a leading manufacturer of adhesives, coatings, and sealants is currently seeking a Technical Specialist. This position is responsible for providing a variety of technical functions: provide customers with technical information and product suggestions, develop new products, improve existing products, and solve internal and external customers' problems. Fundamental Job Tasks: Enhances customer satisfaction by partnering with customers and co-workers to develop win-win solutions to problems. Develops application solutions to ease the use of our products for increased revenue generation. Provides value-added technical expertise at customer facilities and from the lab. Utilizes scientific methods to generate solutions to customer problems. Recommends process improvements to internal and external customers. Translates customer needs into product and application solutions. Interprets field, sales, and customer information and translates it into technical actions. Evaluates customer processes for possible improvements or problems. Asks probing and detailed questions, and renders logical conclusions based on customer input. Promotes a positive image of the department to internal and external customers. Responds to complaints positively and productively. Develops relationships with key customers. Conveys timely results of research to customers in a clear and concise format. Manages internal and external customer relationships. Maintains information flow by exhibiting superior communication and teaching skills. Acts as a mentor to less experienced lab personnel. Informally trains or coaches field sales, customers, and peers. Advises peers and internal and external customers on technical points. Explains products, tests, and application information (verbal and written) in lay terms. Tactfully presents technical information to internal and external customers. Observes all safety and environmental guidelines while handling products, raw materials and wastes. Requirements

  • HS/GED with 12 yrs industry/technical experience and proven track record in technical roles, or AS with 9 yrs technical experience, or BS with 3 yrs experience, or MS with no experience.
