Technical support position for Center for Advanced Ceramic Technology in the areas of ceramic materials research, processing, and characterization including, but not limited to, support for projects related to the Space Materials Institute, Center for High Temperature Characterization, CREATE Center, Center for Glass Innovation, and industry-sponsored projects generally. Rate: $36.92 Essential Functions With or without reasonable accommodations the incumbent must be able to read and write and speak the English language at a college level, be capable of performing sometimes complex mathematical calculations, and must be able to communicate with all levels of the institution in written and spoken form. The individual must be able to work independently. Other essential functions may be required. Support industrial projects in the areas of technical ceramics and glass, including operating a wide range of equipment used in ceramic materials processing and characterization. Plan for optimal delivery of diverse research and testing activities in the area of technical ceramics and glass materials. Work with a diverse clientele in a highly professional manner, including but not limited to federal agencies, state agencies, industrial sponsors, and AU faculty and staff. Other Duties & Responsibilities Supports and assists in creating intersections for faculty, staff and students that will assist in transforming people’s lives. Supports and assists in creating an evolving culture of mentoring and rich engagement opportunities for faculty, staff, and students.
