About The Position

The Technical Specialist at Micromine plays a crucial role in supporting customers of the Micromine Pitram fleet management and mine production system. This position focuses on enhancing customer relationships and ensuring satisfaction through effective implementation, training, and support services. The role involves both local and global responsibilities, making it essential for the candidate to have strong technical and interpersonal skills.

Requirements

• Proven experience within help desk, technical support, or technical training positions.
• A tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Mechatronics, Mining Engineering, Geology, or a related discipline.
• Working knowledge of networking and database technologies (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
• Experience conducting client trainings.
• Strong customer relationship building skills and experience.
• Ability to travel nationally or internationally to manage Micromine Pitram implementations (estimated 20-25% of the year).

• Previous exposure to the Mining sector.

Responsibilities

• Assisting with Micromine Pitram implementations across the Americas and globally when required.
• Providing telephone, email, and face-to-face support for license holders.
• Conducting training with clients and in-house staff, both in-person and online.
• Ensuring enhancement requests, bugs, and development issues are raised and resolved.
• BETA testing new versions and products to check improved functionality.
• Supporting the Sales team during technical demonstrations, trade shows, and other events.
