About The Position

Harbinger's best-in-class team of EV, battery, and drivetrain experts have pooled their deep experience to bring a first-of-its-kind EV platform to support the growing demand for medium-duty EVs and Hybrids. Harbinger: Familiar Form, Revolutionary Foundation. As a Technical Specialist you will be an essential member of the Customer Deployments team. You will become a go-to subject matter expert in supporting Harbingers deployed fleet, You will partner closely with Engineering and external service partners to help ensure our fleets are well supported and have maximum uptime. Work at headquarters on prototype and manufacturing support. Work onsite at customer facilities for fleet field support. Work in the field supporting engineering test activities. This position requires travel 50% of the time.

Requirements

  • 5+ years' work experience in a vehicle workshop and/or dealer shop
  • Graduation from high school or equivalent and an Automotive Technology degree from an institution, or the equivalent in experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
  • Natural ability to interface with many different people from many different technical disciplines and operate with them seamlessly.
  • Ability to self-start, manage, and execute to completion given tasks with varying levels of advance information given in various written and verbal formats.
  • Valid driver's license required.
  • Strong ability to think outside the box and find creative solutions to complex problems
  • Strong understanding of vehicle systems and their interactions
  • Ability to travel as required
  • A creative curiosity, collaborative work ethic, hardworking enthusiasm
  • Excellent communication skills and team working tendencies

Nice To Haves

  • EV and HV experience is a plus
  • Factory training programs through OEMs are a plus.
  • Familiarity with vehicle Controller Area Network (CAN) communication
  • Expertise with Vector CANoe/ CANalyzer a plus

  • Equipment calibrations and records keeping
  • Hands on testing
  • Service procedure development and trials
  • Training the trainers for service network and other internal technicians
