About The Position
The Technical Specialist 2 - HVAC Team Manager is in the Department of General Services and will manage, lead, and supervise the HVAC team to include Metro and contracted staff. This position is responsible for monitoring, coordinating, and inspecting the activities, installations, maintenance and repairs, assignment of tasks, scheduling work, and ensuring timely completion of projects and repairs of the HVAC mechanical and control systems. This position must have advanced knowledge and understanding of safety standards, building codes, ASHRAE standards and EPA regulations. This position ensures effective and efficient operations, maintains a high level of customer satisfaction, and performs related duties as required. The preferred candidate must be an organized, motivated and dynamic professional with excellent decision-making and interpersonal skills with the ability to skillfully coordinate and manage concurrent HVAC projects and related assignments. Flexibility, positivity, reliability, and a commitment to excellence are required.
