About The Position

The Technical Solutions Consultant role at Delta Air Lines involves collaborating with product managers, IT, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into effective technical solutions. The consultant will lead the design of scalable technology solutions, define the technical vision and strategy, and ensure successful project delivery while staying current on emerging technologies and industry trends.

Requirements

• Completion of a BA/BS in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
• Proven experience (10+ years) working in a similar role, preferably in the software industry or consulting.
• Proficiency in cloud computing platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) and familiarity with SaaS solutions.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments and familiarity with Agile methodologies.
• Experience in performance tracking: utilization rate, hourly rates, and over/under management.
• Experience growing, mentoring, and motivating peers.

Responsibilities

• Partner with product managers, IT, and other stakeholders to gather requirements and translate business needs into technical solutions.
• Lead the design of scalable and high-performance technology solutions.
• Define the technical vision, strategy, and roadmap in alignment with business and enterprise objectives.
• Explore various options for solutions and articulate trade-offs.
• Develop detailed proposals including data models, financial analysis, integration timelines, and infrastructure components for technology initiatives.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with solution implementation, ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
• Stay current on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices.
• Serve as a trusted advisor to product teams, offering technical guidance, strategic insights, and recommendations to maximize the value of the solutions.
• Create solution documentation and guidelines, including standard operating procedures and workflow diagrams.
• Provide training and support to team members on new processes and best practices.
• Communicate with stakeholders to ensure alignment on proposed changes or options throughout the process.
• Partner within department/Division to develop and implement relevant processes and technologies to optimize the organization's internal operations.
