About The Position

Lab Technical Leadership, Onsite Testing and Data Analysis 25% Validate and implement new laboratory test methods and testing equipment to support product evaluation and qualification. Execute functional, compatibility, and performance testing of materials and products. Apply statistical tools and data analysis techniques to evaluate test results and drive statistically sound conclusions and data driven decisions. Ensure repeatability, accuracy, and documentation of test protocols and results to support product decisions and continuous improvement. Technical Training and Team Development 25% Provide technical training and ongoing coaching to laboratory personnel to ensure proficiency, compliance, and safe operation of testing processes. Maintain and update standard operating procedures (SOPs) and testing protocols to reflect best practices and evolving requirements. Serve as a subject matter expert and technical mentor to build and strength the technical capability within the team. Laboratory Workload Coordination 20% Plan, prioritize, and coordinate laboratory testing requests to meet internal and external customer timelines. Balance resource utilization and workload distribution to meet quality targets optimizing lab efficiency and responsiveness. Material Evaluation Oversight 10% Oversee testing and evaluation of alternative or replacement materials to determine suitability versus existing components. Review and interpret test data to support material qualification and risk‑based decision‑making. Customer and Special Testing Support 20% Set up, monitor, and execute customer‑specific or special testing requests as needed. Prepare technical reports summarizing findings, conclusions, and recommendations for stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (B.A. or B.S.) from a four‑year institution is highly preferred.
  • Minimum of three (3) years of experience working in a laboratory or technical testing environment.
  • Demonstrated experience operating both general and specialized laboratory equipment and testers.
  • Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered.
  • Working knowledge of chemicals and their interactions with other chemicals as well as plastics and related materials.
  • Strong understanding and application of statistical methods and data‑driven analysis.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey technical information clearly.
  • High attention to detail with strong organizational and quality‑focused mindset.
  • Proven interpersonal, teamwork, and leadership capabilities they all are a must.
