About The Position

Clean Harbors in Las Vegas, NV is seeking a Technical Services Project Manager to assist in growing the revenues and profitability in defined business lines. Scope out, inventory, profile, secure approvals, draft and review safety plans, assess labor and equipment resources for opportunities that need more complex management and technical customer interaction. Manage the team responsible for executing a project to assure it's completed safely, on budget and exceeds the customer's expectations. Why work for Clean Harbors? Requirements

  • Leadership Skills to manage a team of chemists/technicians; computer skills; communication skills; confidence in dealing with new people and situations; Knowledge of the WIN System; Chemical Compatibilities; negotiating skills communication skills; confidence in dealing with new people and situations; Knowledge of the WIN System; Negotiating Skills; Chemical compatibilities
  • Must understand lab packing—packing lab to lab, understand the details of hazmat packing
  • Certifications: 40 Hour Hazwoper, OSHA

Nice To Haves

  • Preferred - Bachelors of Science degree—in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science or science degree that has history w/ chemistry--Appropriate environmental experience would be considered in lieu of a degree

Responsibilities

  • Prepare quotes or bids assure all costs are recognized and the quoted dollars meet required margins.
  • Lead the team that executes the involved work and assure executed efficiently and safely
  • Works with the Coordinators to schedule the work and assure availability of manpower and equipment resources
  • Meets with customers to participate in job walks to understand the scope of work and any issues that may impact costs and execution
  • Prepare profiles both internal and external (third party) to manage the materials found in the scope of work.
  • Secure appropriate approvals
  • Follow up on jobs with operational team and customer to assure work completed satisfactorily, issues resolved, invoiced, and monies collected.
  • Perform other duties and tasks as assigned from time to time by management and will be required by the needs of the Clean Harbors business.
