If selected for the internship, you must be able to commit to the full 12 months and be enrolled at a university or technical college throughout the length of the internship. Must be able to work onsite at the Royal Credit Union Corporate Center in Eau Claire, WI, throughout the school year and during breaks.

Requirements

  • Enrolled at a University or Technical College throughout the length of the internship, pursuing a degree in Information Systems, Information Technology, or similar field.
  • Must be bondable
  • Strong customer service orientation and ability to communicate effectively.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and multitasking skills in a fast-paced environment.
  • Analytical thinking and problem-solving abilities for complex technical issues.
  • Proficiency with Windows-based systems, Microsoft Office, and common hardware like PCs, printers, and mobile devices.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and adapt to frequent interruptions.
  • Must be able to commit to the 12 month internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working in a Desktop/Help Desk Support role supporting a Windows environment.
  • Willingness to work evenings and weekends as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical support to Royal team members across various communication channels, ensuring timely and effective issue resolution.
  • Install, configure, and maintain desktop and mobile devices, software, and network-based systems.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve system issues by identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records of IT assets including PCs, printers, scanners, and mobile devices.
  • Document desktop, application, and network configurations, and collaborate with other departments for efficient problem-solving.
