About The Position

The Technical Services Coordinator oversees and coordinates the biomedical and field service technicians assigned to a designated location, ensuring that medical equipment at the office and customer locations is timely and cost-effectively inspected, repaired and maintained. The Technical Services Coordinator ensures that accurate and detailed equipment records are kept, assists in growing technical services revenue and supports key daily office functions. The Technical Service Coordinator who works at a district office location also assists in managing the supply inventory and ensuring the accuracy and timeliness of customer billing functions.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Applied Science (electronics or biomedical equipment technology preferred) or equivalent military training required; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • At least 1 year of technical experience.
  • Knowledge of the healthcare industry, including hospital operations and medical equipment manufacturers.
  • Experience in medical equipment preventive maintenance, repair, and handling.
  • Ability to read and understand technical manuals and electric/pneumatic schematics.
  • Demonstrated competency in operational verification procedures and preventive maintenance.
  • Proficient in the use of test equipment.
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to lift and/or push 75 pounds.

  • Complete required documentation and reports.
  • Coordinate and train technical services technicians.
  • Hold self and others accountable for completion of assignments.
  • Proactively manage continuous improvement opportunities.
