About The Position

Executes complex technical service projects for coatings and pigment dispersion applications with minimal supervision. Leads pigment dispersion formulation and process trials, troubleshoots customer issues, and develop technical solutions aligned with manufacturing capabilities and performance requirements. Supports Technical Service Representatives on strategic accounts while also managing independent projects that require direct customer engagement, cross- functional coordination, and advanced technical judgment. Plan and conduct pigment dispersion formulation and process trials to meet customer or internal performance targets. Lead independent technical service projects, including troubleshooting, qualification, and optimization of products for industrial coatings customers. Support Technical Service Representatives on complex customer accounts by providing advanced laboratory and formulation expertise. Perform laboratory testing and evaluations on pigment dispersions and coatings formulations, including method development and adaptation. Analyze test data, draw conclusions, and prepare technical reports for internal and customer use. Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations to align technical solutions with production feasibility and business objectives. Conduct root cause analysis for product performance issues and recommend corrective actions. Provide on-site technical support at customer locations as needed. Maintain laboratory equipment, ensure compliance with safety protocols, and train others on specialized techniques. Participate in industry events, technical meetings, and customer demonstrations as a technical representative.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or related field required
  • Minimum 5-10 years of related experience
  • Ability to work in teams and provide and accept direction
  • Good interpersonal, external, and internal communication skills
