About The Position

The Technical Services Technician I position involves providing expert technical design assistance to customers, ensuring optimal solutions and support for their projects. This role encompasses various responsibilities including technical support, database management, design services, project coordination, collaboration with sales teams, customer feedback collection, and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

  • Associate degree in civil or mechanical engineering technology (Civil preferred) or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Minimum of two years of related experience.
  • Minimum of two years' experience interpreting product designs and layouts, with knowledge of AutoCAD or similar systems.

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to read and interpret civil engineering construction documents.
  • Capacity to read and understand simple instructions, short correspondences, and memos.
  • Competence in writing technical correspondence.
  • Aptitude for effectively presenting information in one-on-one and small group settings.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to follow instructions in written, oral, or diagram form.
  • Skilled in using AutoCAD 2021 or higher.
  • Proficient in Adobe Acrobat Pro.
  • Competent in MS Office Products.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general technical or governmental procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the best product solutions for projects.
  • Advise on installation recommendations and procedures.
  • Provide hydraulic information and advice.
  • Assist in solving on-site problems.
  • Maintain the Technical Services Information database (Dynamics).
  • Identify areas for improvement and discuss with the Technical Services Manager.
  • Provide layout drawings, bill of materials lists, and shop drawings for individual projects.
  • Gather, verify, and communicate project information to the appropriate personnel.
  • Work closely with Inside Sales Representatives and Area Sales Managers to ensure customer satisfaction and resolve issues.
  • Elicit feedback from customers to guide future product and service direction.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures.
