Gain a thorough understanding of technical services, sales, and support. Ensure that all laboratory procedures are followed to assure compliance with all ISO system as well as OSHA, EPA, DOT, IEPA, and additional requirements as needed. What will you be doing?

Requirements

  • Bachelors Degree in relevant industry
  • One to two years experience in Chemistry and/or electroplating
  • Willingness to learn and be coached
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical, and detail oriented

Nice To Haves

  • Degree in Chemistry, Forensic Science, or Business Management

Responsibilities

  • Follow written analytical procedures for testing of customer solution samples including Plating tests, Volumetric and Gravimetric analysis, Instrumental analysis, etc
  • Communicate status of testing samples for supervisors and laboratory staff
  • Perform daily testing with some under the ISO/IEC 17025 scope of accredited tests
  • Perform analysis on an array of parts and solid materials
  • Store hazardous materials in the proper locations and dispose of hazardous waste properly
  • Work with applicatons laboratory / R&D personnel to process tests/samples
  • Use and promote the Six Sigma Methodology
  • Attend required HSE training inclduing emergency response, Hazardous Waste Management and Hazardous Communication, and demonstrate an acceptable level of understanding of topics
  • Operate equipment and follow procedures in accordance with ISO 9000 and ISO 14001 standards
  • Maintain housekeeping standards in laboratory work areas
  • Follows all safety procedures including general site safety rules and Chemical Hygiene Plan
