About The Position

The Product Specialist III for Sample Preparation Mass Spectrometry will represent the Mass Spectrometry reagent portfolio, supporting various customers in their scientific endeavors. This role involves collaboration with account managers, distribution partners, and technical specialists to drive revenue and exceed growth targets. The successful candidate will engage with customers, deliver technical demonstrations, and develop business strategies to enhance customer relationships and achieve sales goals.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in any life science field or four years of equivalent proven experience.
  • 3+ years of technical sales experience in the life science research industry.
  • Hands-on experience with mass spectrometry workflows through prior work experience or education.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and business discernment with a good understanding of science and molecular biology solutions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience serving academic, industrial, medical school, hospital, government, biotech, and/or biopharmaceutical accounts.
  • Ability to develop high levels of credibility and positive professional relationships with customers and management.

Responsibilities

  • Respond efficiently and promptly to customer requests, clarifying their business challenges and serving as a technical resource throughout the sales cycle.
  • Build relationships at multiple levels and establish technical credibility with accounts.
  • Prepare and deliver compelling technical demonstrations, including demo mass spectrometry workflows.
  • Present an attractive value proposition to customers based on technical and business knowledge.
  • Understand competitors' strengths and vulnerabilities to develop strategies for addressing opportunities and overcoming obstacles.
  • Develop and frequently update a territory business plan according to market changes.
  • Achieve assigned territory sales goals by proactively contacting existing and potential customers via various communication methods.
  • Nurture existing customer relationships to increase overall revenue and reagent attachment.
  • Research accounts and leverage historical sales data and market trends to drive new business.
  • Collaborate with sales counterparts and distribution representatives to develop account growth strategies.
  • Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence and market feedback to support product evolution.
  • Provide forecasting and reporting on a weekly/monthly/quarterly basis.
  • Handle multiple tasks in parallel and adapt to changing priorities.
