About The Position

The position involves supporting the overall achievement of planned sales and profitability objectives for assigned accounts, territory, and overall business. Responsibilities include achieving or exceeding sales growth expectations, maintaining relationships with existing customers, identifying new sales opportunities, and managing the sales cycle to close new business. The role requires in-depth product knowledge to conduct demos, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions. Regular reporting of activities and accomplishments to the Regional Sales Manager and others via the Company CRM is also required. The individual will represent the company professionally in all business dealings, including trade shows and industry organizations, and maintain effective communication with the company's laboratory.

Requirements

  • High school graduate or equivalent required.
  • 4-year degree preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of related sales experience, preferably in chemical coatings.
  • Professional training in related business and/or professional seminars.
  • Excellent motivational facilitator skills.
  • Excellent people and leadership skills.
  • Excellent analytical and organizational skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent score on color examination.
  • Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, and CRM usage.
  • Ability to objectively assess performance and address performance issues.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and self-assured work ethic.
  • Ability to think creatively to define and address needs and opportunities.
  • Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

  • Achieve or exceed sales growth expectation metrics as defined by the Company.
  • Maintain a working relationship with existing customers to ensure exceptional service and identify new sales opportunities.
  • Identify prospects, set appointments, make effective sales calls, and manage the sales cycle to close new business.
  • Conduct product demos, troubleshoot issues, and provide solutions to product concerns.
  • Provide regular reporting of activities and accomplishments to the assigned Regional Sales Manager via the Company CRM.
  • Represent the company professionally in all business dealings, including trade shows and industry organizations.
  • Maintain effective communication with the company's laboratory through Lab Work Requests and documentation of trial results.
