You’ll serve as a trusted liaison between customers, engineering, product management, and internal operations—guiding projects from concept through qualification and successful launch. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required (technical, engineering, or business strongly preferred).
  • 5+ years of technical sales experience, ideally in engineered components, industrial manufacturing, or OEM environments.
  • Experience in specialty solutions, engineered components, or project/product management required.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales growth and developing long-term customer relationships.
  • Strong technical aptitude with the ability to translate engineering concepts into customer-friendly solutions.
  • Excellent communication—written, verbal, and presentation.
  • Advanced market research and competitive analysis skills.
  • Highly organized, responsive, and effective in fast-paced environments.
  • Strong negotiation and closing abilities.
  • Able to collaborate cross-functionally while working independently with strategic focus.
  • Ability to sit, stand, use hands/arms, and communicate clearly.
  • Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

  • Lead new and existing business development with OEM and specialty product customers.
  • Identify, research, and prioritize market opportunities.
  • Proactively generate leads and expand customer relationships.
  • Support standardized sales processes, CRM accuracy, documentation, and reporting.
  • Build warm leads, manage onboarding, and follow through to deepen customer relationships.
  • Partner closely with Engineering, R&D, and Product Management to evaluate new product feasibility.
  • Serve as the technical liaison between customers and internal teams.
  • Interpret drawings, specifications, tolerances, and application requirements for both technical and commercial audiences.
  • Provide insights on customer needs, market conditions, and competitive solutions.
  • Manage customer projects from initial concept through qualification and commercialization.
  • Create and distribute sales tools, presentations, and application guides tailored to OEM audiences.
  • Support the full product and process development lifecycle.
  • Track industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor offerings.
  • Identify opportunities for expanded capabilities and investments.
  • Travel up to 30% to conduct customer visits, technical presentations, product introductions, and trade show support.
  • Represent the company at key industry events.
  • Partner with the National Sales Manager on annual sales plans, budgets, and market strategy.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records (Salesforce), including opportunities, visit notes, and forecasts.
