In this role, the Technical Sales Manager will work alongside the Tracy General Manager to develop and implement effective growth strategies. This includes a thorough understanding of market dynamics, competitive positions, and channel logistics, as well as recommending actions to counter competitive threats. The position also involves partnering with Finance and Customer Service to address pricing needs and ensure that the company remains competitive in the marketplace. A willingness to travel across North America is essential to support the sales and technical aspects of the role, as well as to develop cost-effective products that meet customer needs for Urethane and Rubber products. The Technical Sales Manager will be responsible for managing customer relationships, including tracking associated KPIs, maintaining opportunity pipelines, and conducting business review meetings. Key account management will be a significant focus, along with establishing an annual orders budget for the Dynatect Tracy CA location. The role will also involve attending industry trade shows, identifying growth opportunities within the assigned region, and providing direction for development activities related to Urethane and Rubber products. Regular interaction with customers to address quality and development issues will be necessary, as will participation in engineering and manufacturing activities to develop control plans and work instructions. The Technical Sales Manager will also be responsible for understanding market dynamics and competitive positions, particularly in the context of Rubber and Polyurethane compression and injection molded parts, and will coordinate strategic customer meetings with internal stakeholders.
