The Technical Sales Manager at Multimatic serves as the primary customer interface for the company's Global Manufacturing and Engineering centers. This role focuses on building strong relationships with customers, leading commercial discussions, and pursuing new business opportunities to enhance profitability and efficiency. The position requires a deep understanding of the automotive industry and technical sales, along with the ability to communicate effectively with various stakeholders.

  • Represent the company as the key customer interface for Multimatic's Global Manufacturing and Engineering centers.
  • Exchange commercial information and build relationships within the company and its customers.
  • Initiate and lead commercial discussions and quote proposals.
  • Pursue new business opportunities with customers, market segments, and products.
  • Lead the quoting efforts for commercial negotiations and provide necessary information for responses.
  • Attend customer meetings as a liaison, interfacing directly with customers.
  • Participate in open issues meetings with global manufacturing facilities and automotive manufacturers.
  • Lead the development of customer technical review presentations for new business opportunities and management reviews.
  • Identify and support discussions to determine strategic direction to enhance profitability.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited University.
  • 10+ years of automotive industry experience in technical sales at a Tier-1 supplier or equivalent.
  • Understanding of OEM processes, systems, and products.
  • Experience with Automotive Mechanism systems.
  • Familiarity with engineering disciplines: GD&T, DFMEA, PPAP/PSW, QOS, etc.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook.
  • CAD expertise is beneficial.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a solutions-based customer relations approach.
  • Ability to travel internationally for customer visits and support activities.
  • Experience with CAD software.
