As a Technical Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization remains the trusted source for aviation repair and maintenance. You will be responsible for managing day-to-day operations, implementing processes, and ensuring flight and product efficiency. Requirements

  • Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
  • High School Diploma; Bachelor's Degree in Business or related field preferred.
  • Five years proven technical experience in the corporate aviation industry.
  • Extensive technical knowledge of interior or paint processes.
  • Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills.
  • Highly proficient in computer applications, including MS Word, Excel, and internet-based applications.
  • Must hold a valid driver's license.
  • Willingness to travel up to 25%.

Responsibilities

  • Pricing, Cost Estimating, and Quoting: Build quote documents and cost estimates that align with the required scope of work, requiring specialized knowledge and judgment.
  • Defining Scope of Work To Be Quoted: Work with customers and the Regional Sales Manager to determine the final required work scope and communicate the value of our proposals.
  • Management of Quote Review Process: Obtain internal approvals for scheduling, turn time, and other necessary approvals to ensure competitiveness of quotes.
  • Timeliness: Occasionally work beyond normal business hours to meet customer quote delivery dates.
  • Coordinating with Other Departments: Align and coordinate timelines with other departments performing work on the same aircraft.
  • Travel: Visit customer aircraft as required and attend industry trade shows or events.
  • Vendor Interactions: Develop and maintain relationships with material vendors during the quote process.
  • Quote Database Management: Create templates and manage product records in the quoting system.
  • Analyze Win Rates, Determine Market Pricing, and Develop Discounting Strategy: Track market pricing and develop customized pricing for customers.
  • Other Duties as Required: Act as a technical representative and manage data entry requirements.
