About The Position

Technical Sales & Solution Architect to support pre-sales and solution design efforts across North and Latin America. Supporting the sales strategy for your territory and key accounts, you will be responsible for leading technical engagement with customers developing expertise in their technology ecosystem, using a combination of an accessible and consultative selling style to support sales opportunities. This role bridges the gap between customers' needs and technical solutions. Candidates must demonstrate not only a deep understanding of the relevant technologies but an ability to analyze problems and ideate, architect and execute solutions that map appropriate products and services to the client’s objectives. The function should ultimately serve our goal of being thought leaders for our clients, helping them better understand their environments and options for improvements, investments and risks. As a member of the Technical Sales team at Velocix, you will play a key role in driving business growth by leveraging your professional network, identifying new leads, and supporting the sales team in converting opportunities into revenue-generating accounts. You’ll operate independently, setting a strong example through clear communication with customer organizations and delivering measurable results within targeted accounts. Your role is crucial to drive business profitability and key commercial growth strategies.

Requirements

  • Strong experience working within the IP Based Video, CDN, Origin, Analytics and Security and familiarity with technologies and customer requirements.
  • 10+ years working within software sales or carrier sales/product environments, including: Technical experience from product management, pre-sales, deployment or post-sales support.
  • Expertise architecting optimal solutions for unique business and technical requirements.
  • Experience working in the telecommunications/network operator industry, in software sales, carrier sales or carrier product knowledge.
  • Languages: English, Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Leading technical sales engagements with customers, effectively communicating a tailored solution for their designated requirements.
  • Understanding customer requirements and articulating the unique technical value of the company solutions.
  • Supporting the team’s technical engagement with customers: Including workshops, trials, Scope of Work, High Level Design and RFx responses.
  • Providing the technical interface to customers by capturing input for new features and designs.
  • Owning internal cross-department communication with an overriding mission to drive potential opportunities forwards.
  • Identifying new sales opportunities by leveraging contacts and working closely with customer teams.
  • Forging strong internal business partnerships to deliver customer expectations and solutions.
  • Conferring with sales leadership to review forecasted opportunities, processes and discuss required changes in product and sales strategies to achieve sales goals and objectives.
