As a Technical Sales Engineer, you’ll be a key player in delivering technical sales support for our portfolio of digital video solutions, speed enforcement systems, and back-office products. You’ll work alongside the sales team to design and present customized technical solutions, guide customer training, and support installations across the country. This role blends technical expertise with customer-facing strategy and offers opportunities to contribute across sales, marketing, and product development.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in technical sales, applications engineering, or support of integrated technical solutions
  • Expertise in wired and wireless networking and IT infrastructure
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux environments
  • High-level presentation skills and the ability to communicate complex solutions clearly
  • Comfort with digital content creation, including technical documentation and video training materials
  • Awareness of solution-based sales techniques and adaptability to long sales cycles
  • Excellent organization, time management, and communication skills
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects
  • Familiarity with CRM systems and documentation practices
  • Ability to lift equipment (up to 60 pounds occasionally with assistance)
  • Comfortable driving to customer sites and conducting on-site training

Responsibilities

  • Deliver compelling, solution-based sales presentations both in person and virtually
  • Serve as a technical expert to law enforcement professionals and IT stakeholders
  • Train customers on system architecture, functionality, and troubleshooting
  • Assist with product demonstrations, proposals, and installations
  • Maintain current knowledge of technology trends and law enforcement needs
  • Support marketing with product content including photos, videos, and training materials
  • Provide backup support to engineering and technical support when needed
  • Engage in up to 25% travel to customer sites or trade shows
