About The Position

Abode Energy Management (Abode) is a fast-growing energy efficiency program implementer in the Northeast, leading the way in electrification and heat pump adoption. The Technical Review Specialist will play a critical role in managing the residential component of the Mass Save® program, ensuring operational efficiency and adherence to program standards. This role focuses on reviewing documentation submitted by contractors throughout the project process and resolving any identified issues. The position offers an opportunity to apply and expand technical knowledge and skills to facilitate high-quality projects in communities that need it most.

Requirements

  • Previous experience working hands-on with Mass Save® or similar residential energy efficiency programs.
  • Knowledge of residential construction and/or building science.
  • Some experience with heat pump technology and residential heating systems is ideal.
  • Demonstrated aptitude with software such as Microsoft Office, Excel, and Salesforce.
  • Detail-oriented with good math skills and ability to multitask.
  • Experience in a high-volume transactional role balancing throughput and quality standards.
  • Clear, effective, structured oral and written communication skills.
  • Adaptable, flexible, collaborative team player with a positive attitude.
  • Self-starter able to manage competing demands and changing schedules.
  • Associate's degree or higher and/or comparable knowledge gained through relevant experience.

Responsibilities

  • Complete a detailed review of quote submissions, including heat pump project details and other pre-weatherization opportunities.
  • Track ongoing projects and provide feedback to contractors.
  • Ensure contractors' documents and processes are complete and correct in the Mass Save® software.
  • Identify trends from reviews to help improve overall work processes.
  • Meet regularly with internal teams to review project and client statuses.
  • Assist with meetings with contractors to discuss specific projects.
  • Maintain and update program databases and customer management systems.
  • Respond to email and phone inquiries related to program needs from customers and contractors.
  • Provide ongoing support for resolution of customer and contractor issues.
