About The Position
The Department of Physics at Florida State University is seeking a qualified individual to design and construct special-purpose analog, digital, and RF electronics equipment for the John D. Fox Superconducting Accelerator Laboratory. This role involves collaboration with faculty and staff, as well as instructing others in the use of specialized equipment. The position also includes responsibilities for repairing and maintaining commercially manufactured electronic equipment, interpreting and analyzing results, and coordinating installation and maintenance programs for specific equipment. The ideal candidate will enjoy troubleshooting and evaluating complex electronic systems while balancing multiple projects.
