About The Position

Responsible for auditing and building all new/used aircraft configurations and building and maintaining all major components with lower assemblies in the AMIS. Responsible for quality auditing of all aircraft exiting the AMC fleet.

Requirements

  • Proficiency in math is required with a minimum 2 year of experience working with training and or aircraft records.
  • 2 year associate’s degree in aviation related field or 5 years of aviation experience with 14 CFR Part 135 operation in lieu of associate’s degree preferred
  • Familiar with the industry General Maintenance Manuals, applicable Federal Aviation Regulations (FARs) & Air Transport Association (ATA) Coding
  • Able to read and understand technical manuals and regulatory documents
  • Ability to make simple mathematical calculations
  • Strong interpersonal skills and high degree of collaboration at all levels
  • Excellent organization skills and detail oriented
  • Proficient with Microsoft Suite, including Word, Access, Excel and Outlook

Nice To Haves

  • Previous aviation or aircraft records experience is preferred

Responsibilities

  • Execute the records process for adding and removing aircraft to/from the AMC certificate to include back to birth of SLL parts/components, component serviceability, and aircraft and component configuration build in the AMIS
  • Configure new engine and major components into the computerized maintenance tracking system.
  • Modify component builds in AMIS based on repair and overhaul certification/documentation.
  • Determine component calculations to include engine and airframe formulas.
  • Audit and determine back to birth traceability of life limited components on all induction and exit aircraft
  • Auditing & maintaining engine & component configurations in the computerized maintenance tracking system
  • Performs verification and update of time limited components, including verifying compliance of hard time components
  • Scan and index all induction aircraft records into the electronic records system
  • Internal department trainer for records auditors
  • Audit final status reports for accuracy during the induction prior to aircraft being place on OPSPEC and during any aircraft lease or sale return process
  • Provides AOG support to MCAS to resolve configuration and compliance issues.
  • Provides guidance for records analyst in the resolution of record keeping issues
  • Actively participates in the continuous improvement phase of the company’s Safety Management System (SMS) and is familiar with the SMS policies, processes, and procedure; provides input and recommendations to the manager on ways to improve safety and efficiency
  • Other Duties as assigned.
