About The Position

WET creates the world’s most iconic water and light experiences — from the Bellagio Fountains to breakthrough kinetic installations that blend art, physics, and imagination. Our teams design, engineer, and build everything in-house, bringing ideas to life in forms few companies on Earth can match. At WET, precision fuels creativity. We’re engineers, makers, and dreamers who move fast, collaborate deeply, and measure what matters. If you’re a hands-on Quality professional tired of layers of red tape and ready to inspect, solve, and improve with freedom — this is the place. Summary As a Technical Quality Control Inspector , you’ll be the technical bridge between design intent and manufacturing reality. You’ll verify complex, high-precision components used in our water delivery systems, lighting assemblies, and motion platforms — ensuring everything performs exactly as engineered. This role combines precision metrology with practical shop-floor collaboration and offers autonomy to shape quality processes that actually work.

Requirements

  • Technical degree, trade school certificate, or equivalent hands-on experience in precision manufacturing or mechanical inspection.
  • 5+ years of experience in mechanical, electro-mechanical, or fabrication quality control.
  • Proficiency with CMM or FARO Arm systems; ability to write or modify PC-DMIS routines a big plus.
  • Confident with GD&T, blueprint reading, and precision measurement at tight tolerances.
  • Comfortable operating in a collaborative, high-mix, low-volume environment where no two projects are identical.
  • Skilled at troubleshooting — you apply good judgment and technical curiosity instead of rigid process-driven thinking.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office, and ideally some exposure to ERP/MRP or quality data systems.
  • Strong mechanical intuition, problem-solving mindset, and pride in precision craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensional and visual inspections on precision parts, weldments, and assemblies across fabrication, machining, and integration stages.
  • Use advanced measurement tools — from micrometers and height gauges to CMMs and FARO Arms — to verify tolerances down to the micron.
  • Create and run inspection programs in PC-DMIS or compatible platforms to streamline repeat inspections.
  • Translate drawings and GD&T requirements into effective inspection strategies without drowning in bureaucracy.
  • Partner with engineers to review non-conformances, lead root cause investigations, and develop pragmatic solutions.
  • Manage calibration and verification of all measurement tools and equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement with real data — not just paperwork.
  • Maintain a clean, efficient, and organized workspace using Lean/5S principles.
