About The Position
The candidate will be the functional leader and First Line Manager (FLM) of the Global Sustainment Technical Publications team located in Liverpool, NY. In the role, the candidate will provide technical and functional leadership to a team of Technical Writing professionals to ensure successful execution to cost, schedule, and quality commitments, as well as adhere to functional overhead targets. Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organizing, control, integration and completion of Technical Publication efforts for both domestic and international programs within IWSS and C6ISR lines of business. Responsible for coordinating subordinate employee recruitment, selection and training, performance assessment, work assignments, development plans, salary, and recognition/disciplinary actions. Collaborates with Logistics Project Managers, Program Managers, and Engineering Leads to plan and execute personnel assignments to specific phases or aspects of project. Coordinates activities concerned with technical publication development as well as training preparation and course conduct. Responsible for designing solutions and developing detailed cost estimates and Basis of Estimates for proposal activities with demanding schedules, including competitive proposals, ROMs, and on-contract growth ECPs. Responsible for driving process improvements and innovative technology into Technical Publications products to drive technical excellence, affordability, and increased customer value.
