About The Position

MicroHealth is seeking a Technical Project Manager to provide critical PMO and Technical Project Management support for the Veterans Affairs Benefits Integration Platform (BIP) within the Benefits Integration & Administration Product Line. The Technical Project Manager will work directly with the BIP Product Manager to oversee cloud-based, containerized application projects while applying Scaled Agile Framework (SaFE) methodologies and ensuring seamless integration across VA systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology or related discipline
  • Seven (7) years of hands-on experience providing leading technical program/project management experience
  • Extensive experience with cloud computing and containerization
  • Strong understanding of Scaled Agile Framework (SaFE) methodologies, SAFe certification strongly desired
  • Proven experience managing cloud-based projects, along with experience with architecture and design principles
  • Proven experience of security requirements and compliance standards
  • Demonstrated project management experience
  • Proficiency with Jira and other project management tools
  • Hands-on experience with release management processes
  • Strong risk management capabilities, and Configuration management expertise
  • Elevated writing skills with ability to produce clear, comprehensive documentation
  • Experience with VA systems including PARS and VASI preferred
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Perform Technical Project Management duties for the Benefits Integrated Platform (BIP) as directed by the Product Manager
  • Lead cloud-based projects with containerized applications
  • Apply Scaled Agile Framework (SaFE) methodologies
  • Oversee architecture and design activities
  • Manage and support security requirements development and implementation
  • Coordinate release management activities
  • Lead requirements planning and management
  • Provide strategic planning and analysis support
  • Support federal budgeting, financial planning, and acquisition activities
  • Execute risk management planning, tracking, and analysis
  • Provide change management support, as well as perform configuration management support
  • Research and report product information into VA Product Line & Accountability Reporting System (PARS), VASI, and other VA systems
  • Perform Jira management and updates
  • Provide comprehensive documentation and data support, manage communications, data calls, and action items
  • Coordinate with the VA Product Manager on a regular cadence to address needs and reprioritize work
  • Support meeting coordination and facilitation, and assist with onboarding and offboarding activities
