About The Position

The Engineering Test team is looking for a highly motivated Technical Project Manager with a strong background in automotive engineering to lead the planning and execution of large in-territory mileage accumulation vehicle testing both for current and prototype vehicles. This candidate is someone who excels at hands-on technical analysis, and driving improvements to Teska's vehicle systems through data-driven insights and cross-functional collaboration.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license required
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to convey information clearly and effectively
  • Strong understanding of vehicles, vehicle components, or a strong interest and willingness to learn
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while tackling last minute changes
  • Ability to travel up to 15%
  • This is a safety-sensitive position, subject to drug testing in accordance with Tesla policy and applicable law

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Project Management or Project Coordination with a background in engineering preferred

Responsibilities

  • Fleet management: Optimize and actively manage a large fleet of engineering prototype vehicles across multiple global sites focusing on technical aspects such as test progression, service needs, road compliance, and logistics
  • Cross collaboration: Collaborate with internal design teams and 3rd parties on new fleet requirements, defining objectives and deliverables
  • Stakeholder communication: Communicate fleet / project status, progress, delays and milestones to engineering stakeholders and leadership
  • Technical oversight: Triage issues and concerns while coordinating appropriate support/resources needed to drive root causes. Bridge the gap between engineering technical needs and 3rd parties
  • Data and documentation management: Oversee various metric dashboards, Confluence and JIRA sites for test documentation and status updates
