About The Position

SSR Total IT is a leading Managed Service Provider (MSP) in the Milwaukee metro area dedicated to delivering innovative IT solutions to our diverse clientele. We provide comprehensive IT services, including infrastructure management, cloud services, cybersecurity, and technical support. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a solid technical background, exceptional project management skills, and a passion for delivering high-quality IT solutions to clients. As a Project Manager, you will be responsible for planning, executing, and finalizing projects according to strict deadlines and within budget. This role requires a strong understanding of technical concepts, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and clients.

Requirements

  • A degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical/business field. Multiple years of relevant experience can be substituted in lieu of a degree.
  • 5+ years of experience in project management leadership and facilitation.
  • Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, networking, cloud services, and cybersecurity.
  • Excellent project management skills, including managing multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in project management software.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients and internal teams.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.

Nice To Haves

  • Project Management certifications such as CSM or PMP, or other relevant project management certifications.
  • Proven experience in one or more of the following areas: IT Services, Manufacturing, Healthcare, Education, Financial.
  • Proficiency in workflow mapping and calendar scheduling tools.
  • Understanding fundamental business principles, including revenue, cost, billing, scheduling, resource allocations, and client relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Work closely with clients to understand their business requirements and translate them with our technical team into solutions.
  • Develop comprehensive project plans that outline stages, timelines, and resource requirements.
  • Establish assumptions, critical dates, decision points, and other items needed for project success.
  • Lead and manage multiple concurrent technical projects from inception to completion, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
  • Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the execution of projects.
  • Identify and manage project risks, issues, and execute change management approvals to ensure successful delivery.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide recurring updates with risks to stakeholders.
  • Own budgeting and billing true-up as part of project closure.
  • Monitor and report on project performance using appropriate tools and techniques.
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation.
  • Perform project closure tasks which includes documentation, training, billing and project performance.
  • Send project closure survey to clients.
  • Maintain a 50% billable utilization rate.
  • As well as any duties as assigned.
