We are seeking a skilled and experienced Project Manager Data Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Project management methodologies combined with expertise in data analysis and reporting. The candidate will work with the development teams to standardize resource tracking methodologies which will track the usage costs. No two days are the same. You will lead the Project management efforts and work alongside a team of passionate, creative engineers to help them identify the overall costs and effectiveness of their infrastructure setup. You will analyze the overall costs of distributed scaled systems and work with teams to identify cost savings. From the desired cost savings to achieving it, you’ll spend your days reviewing costs, possibly creating visualizations for your analysis.   To thrive in this role, you’ll need to be a dynamic and passionate individual with experience with a solid track record of AWS infrastructure knowledge; and cost optimization techniques.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Data Science, or related field.
  • Proven experience in project management, data analysis, and reporting, preferably in a similar industry or role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to present complex data analysis in a clear and concise manner. Must be comfortable presenting to executives and leadership.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's degree is a plus.
  • Project management certification (e.g., PMP, CAPM) are desirable.
  • Proficiency in data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, Python, Tableau, PowerBI or Thoughtspot is a plus.
  • AWS infrastructure knowledge; and cost optimization techniques.

Responsibilities

  • Project Planning and Execution:
  • Collaborate with project managers to develop project plans, timelines, and deliverables.
  • Track project progress, identify bottlenecks, and proactively address issues to ensure project milestones are met.
  • Data Collection and Analysis:
  • Gather and organize project-related data from multiple sources, ensuring data quality and accuracy.
  • Perform data analysis using statistical techniques, data modeling, and visualization tools to extract actionable insights.
  • Reporting and Communication:
  • Create and maintain project dashboards, reports, and presentations to communicate key findings, progress updates, and product metrics to stakeholders.
  • Present data-driven insights to project teams and leadership, facilitating data-driven discussions and decision-making processes.
  • Continuous Improvement:
  • Evaluate project savings metrics and KPIs to assess project success and identify areas for improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement process improvements and best practices based on data analysis and feedback.
  • Documentation and Documentation:
  • Document project processes, methodologies, and lessons learned to create a knowledge repository for future projects.
