The Director of Technical Program Management for Wealth Investments reports to the Investment Technology Head for Global Wealth Management. This role is responsible for delivering on Global Wealth Management's strategy for Investments and Trades, driving the launch of customer experiences and digital capabilities for wealth management and affluent clients. The position focuses on delivering customer-centric solutions and communications that enable clients to manage their finances confidently through easy-to-use tools, insights, content, offers, and recommendations, as well as expanding the digital presence and offerings for wealth management customers. The ideal candidate is a leader passionate about developing people, leveraging technology for efficiency and customer engagement, and solving problems as an engineer. This senior leader will lead a world-class technical team of skilled program managers, sharing a passion for developing people, building technology, being fearless, obsessed with simplification and excellence, and tackling complexity. This role is at the intersection of business, technology, and product, working with engineering leaders, product management, and cross-functional teams to manage and execute the product strategy. The organization serves as the hub for rationalizing, conceptualizing, assigning, and delivering engineering work across domains in an agile execution model. The role involves solving challenging problems, improving processes, developing new mechanisms for scaling platform services, driving agile transformation, and fostering a culture of learning and delivery excellence. The individual is expected to drive innovation, eliminate redundancy, and ensure execution excellence, while continuously monitoring capacity, demand, execution, delivery, and hygiene via KPIs. They must ensure execution aligns with regulatory requirements, simplify and automate processes, and be a smart risk-taker who can deliver big ideas and transform them into scalable programs. Communication and relationship-building with business, technology, audit, risk, fraud, and finance executives are crucial. The role requires a data-driven approach, collaboration with product management, governance, UX design, and vendors, and fostering engineering excellence and innovation. The candidate must operate effectively in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment, possess excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, and actively encourage the development of managers and technical staff.

Requirements

  • Proven ability to develop talent and build a bar raising function & high performing teams (both managers and individual contributors)

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a related field
  • Hands on experience (10+ years) leading program management function and/or technical teams
  • 15+ years’ experience in enterprise level program management and delivery engineering products at scale
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills; Data driven and results oriented
  • Exceptional strategic analysis, problem solving, issue resolution and decision-making skill
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills backed by a strong business and technical vision
  • Expert knowledge of Agile frameworks like SAFe, Scrum, Kanban, and familiarity with Jira and Confluence tools

  • Master’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
  • Prior experience in wealth management with focus on investments and trade is a huge plus
