Inside the Role In Product Strategy we are a team that serves as the trusted compass for DTNA's future commercial vehicle product portfolio. We are in the driver's seat for solidifying the strategy and defining the 'why' for future projects across all vehicle platforms. In this role, you will serve as the Product Strategy lead for future project activities including roadmapping and project prioritization as well as supporting global communication to our TT/MB counterparts for future projects. You will support the team with process innovation as it relates to our future project roadmap ensuring high-quality standards and deliverables are being upheld across the department from idea to road mapping, FPL approval and Quality Gates 10 and 9. You will also help to ensure relevant project content is being consistently delivered into the Go-To-Market forums across the wider marketing & strategy organization. You will support, manage and improve processes to achieve overall portfolio deliverables from a visual and KPI standpoint across all project types (PARs, PAR Lites, NOWs, CCIs etc.). This position interfaces regularly with cross-functional departments locally and globally to achieve a holistic TN portfolio view. This includes but is not limited to: EPM/Engineering, Finance/Controlling, local & global Truck Technology teams (TT), Sales & Marketing, Purchasing, LCM, FSG, ATG etc. The ideal candidate must have a proven record successfully working on cross-functional initiatives, have a wide network and work well with others even in ambiguous or difficult situations. We Take Care of Our Team What You Drive at DTNA: Lead and coordinate activities to successfully align a holistic strategy within DTNA for the development and introduction of new future projects – working closely with all Product Strategy Platforms, EPM, global & local product planning teams and the wider Engineering community. Coordinate with Engineering and Finance on high level budget estimates for future projects in preparation for budget prioritization and golden circle approval. Maintain and drive C-place accuracy for global projects leveraging product strategy leads. Serve as a key contact for governance of the Product Scope Project (PSP) and regularly interface with EPM to support other project initiatives in Engineering such as Project Year Project (PYP). Lead and coordinate activities, product initiatives and projects to optimize the Daimler Truck TN product portfolio. Process-related expertise and strategic vision around short and long-term product roadmaps, product plans, and related project improvement activities across all strategy teams. Uphold the highest level of department processes and standards such as Visual Managements, current Functional Activity List (FALs), department and project budget tracking. Present updates to processes impacting our future through holistic portfolio views; to be utilized with Sales & Marketing as well as in executive leadership forums. Ensure consistent processes are upheld for project proposal and quality gate reviews to various company oversight as well as executive committees for approval. Develop and compile the product strategy playbook incorporating process improvement ideas, and leading workstreams to resolve pain points within current processes. Knowledge You Should Bring: Bachelor’s degree and 5-7 years of relevant experience, or 8 years of relevant experience in lieu of degree, is required. Ability to condense complex issues into decision-making proposals and presentations Exceptional communication skills (verbal and visual) for executive forums & cross-functional audiences Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel and PowerPoint Demonstrated project management experience Experience working cross-functionally and building consensus Experience building comprehensive documentation (SWI & playbooks) and KPI tracking Ability to balance long term goals with short term deliverables Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Knowledge of DTNA products and North American trucking industry Working knowledge of project management techniques and tools An attached resume is required Exceptional Candidates Might Have Previous project lead or group lead experience A strong local and global network PMP certification Where We Work This position is open to applicants who can work in (or relocate to) the following location(s)- Portland, OR US.
