The Project Leader (PL1) holds technical responsibility for IQP 3 to 5 projects, managing technical activities to ensure agreed deliverable time, quality, and compliance with customer requirements. This role also involves qualifying internal project staffing and developing and adhering to project timelines.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) from a technical college or university in Engineering or another technical/scientific discipline
  • Combined minimum 5 years of engineering and project management experience
  • Minimum 4 years of engineering/product development experience
  • Minimum 1 year of project lead/management experience in a technical field
  • Significant experience in systems engineering, requirement engineering, or software development
  • Automotive experience is essential
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office suite of programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, and Outlook)
  • Demonstrated ability to manage projects successfully to customers requirements (scope, cost, schedule, margin, delivery of contractual deliverables)

Responsibilities

  • Customer Support client meetings and mainly onsite presence at CTC needed
  • Monitors delivery progress with the customer
  • Give technical direction within project
  • Mentoring team members
  • Monitor delivery progress on projects
  • Manage technical scope of the projects
  • Responsible of the quality of the deliverables
  • Support definition of roles and responsibilities in the project organization
  • Monitor the technical skills of the team members
  • Support validation of the project organization and the team members
  • Support improving project processes
  • Report if technical/project training is needed in projects
