About The Position

JPI has an exciting opportunity for a Technical Project Lead to join our Operations Support Center team located in Dallas, TX. The Technical Project Lead will be responsible for proactively assessing future risks of each project to the Operations team and communicating those with the OSC Team and Field Team. The position will report to the Technical Project Manager.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years' experience in a business or professional setting
  • Proven experience in an executive support role or similar position
  • Excellent organizational and leadership skills
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities
  • Proficiency in using business software and tools, including MS Office and project management applications
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Responsibilities

  • Review and finalize plans and maintain active day to day involvement with OSC Team
  • Ensure a clear path for execution of Plan A with excellent communication with Site Construction Managers
  • Deliver trade specific PreCon onsite meeting agendas to the Site Construction Managers to ensure Plan adherence
  • Track and resolve construction issues from field 'tickets' in timely and complete manner
  • Lead execution risk assessment and develop Plan B's
  • Ensure the de-risking process is complete with all necessary RFI’s/ASI’s resolved in timely manner
  • Identify chokepoints and risks and develop plans to coordinate around the issue
  • Monitor dashboard daily for trends impacting the Plan, diagnose the root cause and direct OSC resource support
  • Create Plan B's/Recovery plans as needed for obstacles and opportunities with the Superintendent
  • Develop and coordinate OSC support of wet weather mitigation pre-planning efforts and implementation
  • Utilize digital technology or other information available to solve technical issues affecting the project
  • Ensure the Day 1 Startup checklist is completed on NTP day
  • Manage RFI Process and work directly with Operations team to draft and submit RFI's
  • Ensure RFI's are answered promptly and by correct consultants
  • Ensure RFI's are distributed to appropriate subs
  • Inform the Commercial Lead of RFI's with potential costs attached
  • Ensure that the project turnover phasing and sequence will be approved by the jurisdiction
  • Coordinate with the Site Construction Manager to verify change order work is valid
  • Review and finalize plans and maintain active day-to-day involvement with OSC team
  • Conduct pre-construction meetings with trades to gather input on labor requirements
  • Maintain regular communication with the Resource Lead to ensure subcontractor labor availability
  • Lead execution risk assessment and develop Plan B's
  • Seek feedback from the Construction Manager and OSC Manager to develop corrective actions
  • Develop Plan B solutions to mitigate risks and keep the project on schedule
  • Manage RFI questions initiated by subcontractors and digital efforts
  • Oversee the timely resolution of RFIs and ensure closed RFIs are distributed to relevant parties
  • Verify that change orders pertain to work outside the current scope and are associated with project RFIs
