About The Position

Peraton is currently seeking an experienced Technical Project Engineer / Special Assistant - CTMR to become part of our Federal Strategic Cyber Group. Location: On-site in Arlington, VA and Washington, D.C. In this role, you will: Provide business consulting support to office leadership, including offering recommendations, facilitating meetings, managing risks and actions, and resolving problems. Prepare, review, and edit technical correspondence, reports, manuals, presentations, and other cybersecurity-related documentation for both internal and external audiences. Support office and division leadership in executing daily responsibilities and managing events for stakeholders outside the organization. Serve as a liaison for complex cyber issues across all levels of DoS, demonstrating strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills. Coordinate and prepare official products (e.g., taskers, cables, memoranda), ensuring accuracy, relevance, and quality, and guide them through approval processes. Research, coordinate, and develop materials for special projects, including unique, unforeseen, ad hoc, and urgent tasks. Engage with DoS executives to achieve project objectives. Communicate Front Office tasking to division-level programs, coordinating final deliverables.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and minimum of 14 years of relevant experience; 12 Years with Masters; 9 Years with PhD. An additional four (4) years of relevant experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree.
  • Ability to develop requirements, design workflows, and conduct systems analysis.
  • Experience preparing complex operating instructions.
  • Experience reviewing and editing technical correspondence and presentations for internal and external meetings.
  • Experience engaging with executive-level leadership.
  • Must either possess and maintain, or obtain prior to start date, one of the following professional certifications: CASP+ CE, CISSP (or Associate), CSSLP, Security+ CE, Project+, Agile ScrumMaster
  • U.S. citizenship required.
  • Possess, at a minimum, an interim Secret security clearance in order to start.
  • The ability to obtain a final Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
