About The Position

The Technical Project Manager (TPM) will serve as a critical bridge between business stakeholders and technical delivery teams. This role emphasizes translating Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) into actionable user stories, partnering with engineering teams to plan development activities, and ensuring successful end-to-end delivery. The TPM will contribute to shaping product enhancements, managing Agile ceremonies, and driving execution across cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • 6+ years of experience in banking, credit card issuer, lending, or adjacent financial services.
  • Strong background supporting digital financial products and consumer-facing technology solutions.
  • Extensive experience writing user stories, managing backlogs, and working directly with software engineers.
  • 5+ years working within Agile IT delivery teams, with deep understanding of Agile frameworks and ceremonies.
  • Solid understanding of system architectures, APIs, data flows, and common engineering processes.
  • Proven ability to manage multi-team initiatives and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical groups.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in FinTech environments.
  • Certifications in Agile (Scrum, SAFe), Product Management, Project Management (PMP), or Business Analysis (CBAP).
  • Exposure to credit card processing, digital onboarding, payments, or customer experience technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Requirements Translation & Backlog Management Analyze Business Requirements Documents (BRDs) and convert them into clear, detailed, and testable user stories.
  • Create and maintain Product Requirement Documents (PRDs) and acceptance criteria that align with business goals.
  • Own and manage the backlog, ensuring prioritization, grooming, and alignment with strategic objectives.
  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers to refine scope, define features, and ensure the development team has a well-defined pipeline of work.
  • Work directly with engineering teams to plan development iterations, define sprint goals, and estimate effort.
  • Facilitate key Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog grooming, standups, reviews, and retrospectives.
  • Communicate feature timelines and release plans to stakeholders; ensure transparency of progress and risks.
  • Proactively identify and remove blockers to keep teams moving efficiently.
  • Serve as a liaison between business, product, engineering, and architecture teams.
  • Engage with Enterprise Architecture to ensure technical solutions align with organizational standards and long-term technology roadmaps
  • Coordinate with QA, design, compliance, and other teams to support end-to-end delivery.
  • Develop high-level project plans, resource estimates, and delivery schedules.
  • Track progress against milestones and escalate risks or decisions when needed.
  • Support creation of business cases and project justification materials.
  • Demonstrate proof-of-concepts (POCs) when needed to validate technical solutions.
