As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. As a Structuring Analyst on the Portfolio Management team, you will lead individual initiatives and projects and work with teams across the company in support of Google's global data center energy portfolio, including our efforts to reach 24/7 carbon-free energy and other clean energy objectives. In this role, you will focus on providing structuring expertise to the energy team by reviewing the portfolio impact of non-standard agreements structures, analysis, risks, and non-standard contract terms and conditions while proactively identifying improvements that support portfolio optimization. You will also play an instrumental role on the team evaluating and structuring investments to support the energy portfolio’s objectives. This includes supporting and guiding execution on specific commercial agreements points driven by data derived from financial modeling while identifying and optimizing for portfolio wide objectives. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.   • Work cross-functionally to identify new structuring opportunities, while incorporating a comprehensive view of the portfolio.
  • Guide negotiators to identify, structure, and price non-standard agreements.
  • Create analysis to support portfolio management transactions, evaluate investment opportunities and assist in the discussion of transaction provisions and structuring.
  • Assess and translate competition, industry trends, emerging issues, and changes in the marketplace into structuring strategies.
  • Develop innovative solutions that improve the way the portfolio is managed while achieving portfolio objectives.
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in quantitative modeling within the energy industry, portfolio management, risk management, and valuation analysis or structuring wholesale energy market business agreements, including retail energy supply, power purchase agreement (PPA) agreements, and investments.
  • Experience in Python programming and building quantitative models that leverage SQL based queries to convert data into business insights.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience with wholesale electricity markets and structuring in multiple regions.
  • Understanding of applied and financial mathematics concepts and techniques (including statistical techniques, option pricing and monte carlo simulation techniques), with experience performing quantitative analysis.
  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration, with the ability to coordinate with both energy experts and non-experts.
