As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $183,000-$271,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in storage servers, systems and solutions.
  • Experience in component Social Security Disability (SSD) qualifications.
  • Experience in software engineering, hardware engineering, end-to-end validation/critical user journey (CUJ) testing.
  • Experience with launching data center products and deployments.

Responsibilities

  • Lead cross-functional teams, spanning all organizational levels and functional areas to develop and deliver programs from inception to production.
  • Orchestrate the overall program strategy and drive end-to-end execution across large cross-functional teams.
  • Set the goal and direction for a program by outlining goals and objectives, evaluating and supervising multiple projects, organizing cross-project work within the program, and defining program controls/governance/standards.
  • Manage multiple cross-functional programs simultaneously with engaging priorities.
  • Drive consistency between Cloud processes and central processes.
  • Manage escalations and unblock obstacles, ensure all leadership/stakeholders are aware of progress/blockers on a continuous basis.
  • Use technical judgment to drive project delivery, technology reviews, challenge proposals and build consensus.
