Project Kuiper is an initiative to launch a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites that will provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world. Kuiper is looking for a Technical Program Manager (TPM) located in Redmond, WA to support the Industrial Design, Product Design (Mechanical), Electrical Design and Antenna Design for the Customer Terminal (CT) Projects. As a TPM, you will lead the System development of a single customer terminal product, subsystem accessories, and accessories by working closely with cross functional teams including the Family TPM, Electrical Engineering, Product Design, Antenna Engineering, and Industrial Design to meet Key Performance Metrics for technical and schedule requirements. You will ensure hardware design and deliverables align with Diagnostic and Production Device software deliverables for key builds. You will collaborate with the Family TPM, Product Integrity, Finance, Operations (including Quality, Operations Program Managers, Advanced Manufacturing Engineering) to successfully mitigate challenges and maintain project milestone. You must be responsive, flexible, and able to succeed within an open and collaborative peer environment. The ideal person will treat the TPM with a “Founder’s Mentality” and own all Day One deliverables like it is their own start up.

  • Lead the System development of a single customer terminal product and subsystem accessories.
  • Work closely with cross functional teams including Electrical Engineering, Product Design, Antenna Engineering, and Industrial Design.
  • Ensure hardware design and deliverables align with software deliverables for key builds.
  • Collaborate with Family TPM, Product Integrity, Finance, and Operations to mitigate challenges.
  • Manage execution of Device Hardware and Accessories with a balance of technical skills and customer obsession.
  • Create agendas and presentations for meetings at the Director and VP level.
  • Manage and communicate product development critical issues and escalate as required.
  • 3+ years of technical product or program management experience.
  • 2+ years of software development experience.
  • 3+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, risk, and critical path management experience.
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules.
  • 3+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience.
