About The Position

A problem isn't truly solved until it's solved for all. That's why Googlers build products that help create opportunities for everyone, whether down the street or across the globe. As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you'll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You'll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Google Beam combines advances in hardware and software to enable friends, families and co-workers to feel together, even when they're apart. As a Hardware Technical Program Manager, you will be the central driving force ensuring the delivery of integrated acoustic, lighting, and general hardware subsystems. You will lead cross-functional execution across hardware, firmware, software, and industrial design teams to bring innovative features from concept to mass production. You will identify, communicate, and track program risks and technical dependencies, developing contingency plans to maintain schedules. You will also provide regular, concise status updates to executive stakeholders, articulating technical challenges, trade-offs, and mitigation paths. Google Beam is a true-to-life new communication technology from Google that allows people to feel like they're having real face-to-face conversations, no matter the distance. Powered by realistic state-of-the-art 3D imaging and spatial audio and integrated with today's leading remote video platforms, Google Beam enables you to be immersed in the moment, together. As a part of the Google Beam team, you'll work with incredible teammates across all major functions in a fast-paced product-oriented environment. Your contributions will have an impact on the future of communications with Google products. You will apply technology to solve that really important problem that we often want to be together and we can't.
