As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • Certifications in ISO 27001, SOC2, with experience in commercial enterprise software products and services.
  • 8 years of experience in program management.
  • 5 years of experience with security programs, processes, and best practices.

Nice To Haves

  • 8 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • 7 years of experience managing technically-challenging projects spanning a wide set of cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Ability to establish systems to improve business processes, products, or services on an ongoing basis, through measurement of performance, progress, and success metrics.
  • Ability to plan, scope, and take on responsibility for technical projects and drive them to completion through proper execution and governance.
  • Ability to influence and deliver solutions in a changing environment, with excellent team building skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide project management, cross-functional coordination, inter/intra team communications, and leadership engagement to deliver positive program outcomes.
  • Work with software engineers, product managers and other engineering teams to lead high-quality products and features through the product lifecycle (e.g., scope, develop, build, test, and release on time).
  • Manage project schedules, identify possible issues, and communicate them to project stakeholders and leadership.
  • Take responsibility for release schedules and milestones, keeping up a high velocity in a fast-paced environment.
  • Lead technical programs for Google Cloud, setting priorities for products and engineering, leading cross-functional teams to take products to market, ensuring success metrics are informing future efforts, and fine tuning the program as needed.
