As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Construction Quality team serves as the steward of the Google Data Center (GDC) Quality Program. Empowered to innovate and educate, we implement standards to ensure the end-to-end quality of our global data center infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, Industrial Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, a related technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • 2 years of experience in construction quality and commissioning.
  • Experience in data center renovations.
  • Ability to travel upto 25% of the time.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Commissioning Authority (CxA) or Construction Quality Management.
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical excellence of data center infrastructure during critical renovation and upgrade projects.
  • Oversee major retrofits ranging from cooling system overhauls to electrical capacity upgrades ensuring they are commissioned to the highest standards without jeopardizing active facility uptime.
  • Bridge the gap between Data Center Construction (DCS) and Data Center Operations (DCOps) by managing third-party Commissioning Authorities (CxAs) and defining risk mitigation strategies for high-stakes live cutovers.
  • Drive the rigorous validation of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems to ensure seamless integration and operational reliability.
