As a Technical Program Manager at Google, you’ll use your technical expertise to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish. You’ll work with stakeholders to plan requirements, identify risks, manage project schedules, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. You're equally comfortable explaining your team's analyses and recommendations to executives as you are discussing the technical tradeoffs in product development with engineers. The Data Center team designs and operates some of the most sophisticated electrical and HVAC systems in the world. We are an upbeat, creative, team-oriented group of engineers committed to building and operating powerful data centers. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $132,000-$189,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 2 years of experience in program management.
  • Experience in data center infrastructure (i.e. power space, cooling, networking).
  • Experience in supply chain planning, capacity planning or demand planning.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Registered Communications Distribution Designer (RCDD) or Project Management Professional (PMP).
  • 2 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
  • Experience in building construction management and working on evaluating data center telecom infrastructure and design of associated infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership for programs to increase stability, improve scalability, efficiency and quality of engineering efforts.
  • Evaluate alternatives and develop cost estimates for project-specific feasibility studies. Create standards and templates to streamline build processes, create design drawings and SOW documents for network infrastructure and optical cabling for both ISP and OSP.
  • Develop quantitative metrics, tooling, and reporting in partnership with key stakeholders. Manage, track, and report on team's efforts to deliver on-time, cost effective infrastructure.
  • Communicate with partners along with internal business owners to collect drivers and deadlines for delivering network capacity.
